Ex-Venezuelan General arrested in Spain on US warrant over drug import

As informed by the police and the US Department of Justice, the ex-Venezuelan general Hugo Carvajal has been arrested on Friday on a US warrant for cocaine trafficking in Madrid. The Spanish police arrested him when he was at his son's residence. Recently, the former general was in the news for supporting Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido. The Justice Dep said that if found guilty he'll face life imprisonment.
