Italian man convicted in George Clooney fraud case arrested

Thailand police have arrested Francesco Galdeli, 58, wanted in his home country, Italy after he fled a jail sentence. Another woman, Vanja Goffi, has been arrested too with Galdeli. He was convicted for fraudulently using the name of Hollywood actor George Clooney to trick people into investing in a fake clothing company. Incidentally, Galdeli was sentenced to more than eight years in jail by a Milan court in 2010.
