At least four police personnel were injured in a mob attack in Assam’s Lakhimpur district on Thursday evening. A large number of people had gathered at the mosque of Pandhua Kuet area after Iftar. Upon receiving the information about the gathering, a team of cops went to the area and appealed to the people to maintain social distancing norms amid the Covid-19 lockdown. This is when the mob attacked the cops, leaving 4 injured.
