Nirbhaya case: Convict Pawan Gupta's curative petition rejected by Supreme Court

The Supreme Court today dismissed the curative petition filed by Pawan Gupta, a convict in the Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case. Pawan had moved the Supreme Court with a curative petition to challenge the death sentence awarded to him. He claimed in his petition that he was a juvenile at the time of the crime in 2012 and sought his death sentence to be commuted to life imprisonment. The convicts will be hanged on March 20.
