Nirbhaya gangrape-murder case: Pawan Gupta files mercy plea after rejection of curative petition

The convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape-murder case continue to exploit the law as one of the four convicts in the gruesome crime, Pawan Gupta, on Monday filed a fresh mercy plea before the President of India, hours after the Supreme Court (SC) dismissed his curative petition. Gupta has filed the fresh mercy petition just a day before he was scheduled to be hanged along with the other convicts.
