According to Microsoft, cybercriminals are now taking advantage of coronavirus to perform ransomware and phishing attacks on people. Microsoft had noticed over 9000 coronavirus-themed attacks in India between Feb 2 and May 2. Ann Johnson, VP Microsoft, told about 19 million attacks were noticed in Asia and India was actually one of the lower countries. She added that India had good controls in place.
