Punjab Police launches search operation after intelligence inputs of terror strike

Punjab Police has launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Pathankot and Gurdaspur districts bordering Pakistan, after intelligence inputs of a possible terror strike. The operation was started on Friday and is being led by Ishwar Singh, additional director of police (law and order), and Rakesh Chandra, ADGP (Special Operations Group and Commandos). More than 5000 policemen and commandos are part of this operation.
