Rape victim's testimony must be of sterling quality to convict accused: SC

The Supreme Court of India has passed a rule that the rape accused cannot be convicted solely on the basis of testimony given by the rape victim, until and unless it is completely trustworthy, unblemished and of sterling quality. Moreover, the witness should be of sterling quality and calibre. And there should be accessibility of the version. This decision came due to the man who was accused of raping his sister in law.
