SC orders media to not to disclose identity of rape victims

The SC on Tuesday has ordered the media to not to reveal the identities of the sexual assault victims, even if they are dead. The court has laid down a number of guidelines to protect the reputation of these victims. It said that their names will not be disclosed during public rallies and on social media platforms. Police or forensic authorities are also not allowed to disclose their identity even if parents allow.
