Significant rise in cybercrime against women with caged criminals targeting them online: Experts

The nationwide lockdown was imposed with an aim to curb the spread of coronavirus that has claimed 1147 lives & infected 35,043 people in the country. As per NCW data, 54 cybercrime complaints were recorded in April as compared to 37 in Mar & 21 in Feb. Cyber experts believe the numbers are just the tip of the iceberg. From Mar 25 to Apr 25, they got 412 cyber abuse complaints & receive an average 20-25 complaints per day.
