Sri Lanka imposes nationwide overnight curfew as riots erupt after Easter attacks
SriLanka declared nationwide night curfew after anti-Muslim riots spread to at least 3 districts in a backlash against Easter bombings. The curfew was imposed to prevent further escalation of violence, but police refused to say why it was extended across the country. The cops say there were sporadic incidents of mobs throwing stones & torching bikes, cars & shops, owned by Muslims. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
