Tenant stabs house owner to death in Chennai for demanding 4 months of rent

A 26-year-old tenant named Ajit stabbed his landlord, Gunasekar, a 52-year-old retired bank employee, after the latter demanded rent of four months. According to Ajit, Gunasekar was continuously harassing him his family over the payment of rental dues and electricity bill. The accused works as a water tank lorry cleaner. He moved into the house owned by Gunasekar six months ago and was paying a rent of Rs 4000 per month.
