Two men arrested for stealing 550 kg onions in Pune as prices hit century

Pune police have arrested two men for stealing around 550 kg of onions from Mauje Devjali village. The accused have been identified as Sanjay Paradhi and Popat Kale. They have been booked under sections 379, 511 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The price of onions in Pune has breached the Rs.100 mark due to heavy rain and common people are finding it hard to purchase onions and other essential vegetables.
