Unnao rape case: 7 cops suspended for negligence of work, laxity in crime control

7 cops have been suspended with immediate effect for the negligence of work, laxity and arbitrariness in incidents related to crime control and prosecutions in Unnao, UP. The cops were suspended hours after the last rites of the 23-year-old Unnao rape victim, who had succumbed to her burn injuries. She was laid to rest in the fields that belonged to her family, where the mausoleum of her grandparents is situated.
