Violence and abusive coaching technique are often a part of a child athlete's technique in Japan: Report

A report by HRW has revealed that hitting children with bats, slapping them across the face & holding their heads underwater to simulate drowning are few abusive coaching techniques allegedly used in Japan. Hence, the sport has been a cause of pain, fear & distress for many Japanese children. This report consists of 56 interviews with present & ex-athletes & an online survey with 757 responses from current & previous child athletes.
