1/7th of women are deprived of pregnancy care

During the last pregnancy, antenatal care is very crucial. However, unfortunately, in India, more than one in seven women do not get it, because their families or husband do not allow it, according to recent National Family Health Survey. Antenatal care is designed to monitor pregnant woman for complications, care, diet and overall health and only 16.7% rural women receive it, compared to 31.1% in urban areas.
