1,375 Andhra Pradesh jail prisoners test positive for Coronavirus

Director-General of Prisons, Mohammad Ahsan Reza has said that as many as 1.375 prisoners in various jails in Andhra Pradesh have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. One prisoner has died after contracting the deadly disease. He added that five of the Covid-19 positive prisoners who were undergoing treatment have escaped from the study and the police is searching for them. 380 inmates have successfully recovered.
