24 animals including rhino dead in Kaziranga National Park due to Assam floods

The floods in Assam have led to the death of 24 wild animals in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park. 30 percent of the park's area is still under water. “Out of 24 animals, six animals including a rhino, three hog deer, one wild buffalo, one swamp deer drowned in flood waters in the park," a Kaziranga official said. The official further said that 11 animals including nine hog deer died in a vehicle hit on National Highway 37.
