3 crore people to be vaccinated for Covid19 in first tranche: Health Ministry

The Health Ministry said that it has the infrastructure to vaccinate over 3 crore people instantly, once a vaccine for Covid19 arrives. The 3 crore people who have been identified to be vaccinated in the first tranche include about 70-80 lakh doctors and around 2 crore healthcare workers. The frontline workers comprise central and state police forces, home guards, armed forces, municipal workers and Asha workers.
