The manufacturer of the firearm used in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy has made a $33 million settlement offer to the victims' families. According to the lawyers, the idea is being considered by the nine families who are suing the firm. On December 14, 2012, a Bushmaster AR-15-style weapon produced by Remington was used to murder 20 first-graders and six educators at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
