39 lakh killed in unnatural accident in last 12 years

The National Crime Records Bureau has revealed that 39 lakh people lost their lives unnaturally between 2004 and 2015. Road accident was the major killer which took about 15 lakh lives followed by drowning (3 lakh deaths). During this period, 26 thousand people were killed in railway track and crossings. This data was released days after Amritsar tragedy which was the most avoidable ones and took 59 lives.
