Assam is once again struggling with severe floods with the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve being one of the worst affected areas. 70 percent of the tiger reserve has been submerged by floodwaters, resulting in the death of four hog deer till Monday. The causes of the deaths included drowning, accidents while crossing the National Highway-37 and attacks by the villagers. 21 Assam districts are affected by the flood.
