85% of people who died due to Coronavirus were 45 or older, says centre

According to the Union health ministry, more than 85 percent of people who died due to the novel coronavirus, were 45 years or older in age. Also, over 53 percent of coronavirus cases in India are linked to those who are 60 years or above and account for 10 percent of the country's population. "This high-risk population group needs special attention by central and state governments," a health ministry official said.
