It has happened for the first time in 22 years that Naomi Osaka became the first Japanese woman to reach in the semi-finals of a Grand Slam on Wednesday. She defeated Lesia Tsurenko by 6-1, 6-1 in the last 8 of the US Open 2018. She also admitted that she was freaking out during the match. Whereas, Kei Nishikori also became the first Japanese man to reach the semi-finals in the same Slam.
