A woman played dead in order to save herself from an attacker on the Appalachian trail, which is the longest hiking-only footpath in the world. James Jordan, an accused of killing a hiker & threatening others in 2 separate incidents, was arrested & charged with 1 count of murder & 1 count of assault with intent to murder. The woman trekked 6 miles through a stretch of the trail in southwestern Virginia to report the attack.
