After her death, Pakistani lawyer wins United Nations Human Rights Prize

After her death, a Pakistani lawyer, Asma Jahangir, the 1st woman to serve as president of Pakistan’s SCBA received the Human Rights Prize for 2018 from UN on Thursday. Along with her a Tanzanian activist Rebeca Gyumi, a Brazilian activist Joênia Wapichana, and a human rights organisation FrontLine Defenders were honoured with the prize. The ceremony will happen in New York on December 10 on World Human Rights Day.
