AIIMS director says assessment of Russia's Covid19 vaccine necessary

A day after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that his country has made the world's first vaccine for Covid19, All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi Director Dr. Randeep Guleria has said that there was the requirement for an assessment of the vaccine to ensure that it is safe and effective. "There should not be any side effects of the vaccine and it should provide good immunity and protection," he said.
