Anganwadi workers in 11 states didn’t receive any hike since 2015

Four Union Territories and 11 states haven’t announced any hike of payment to the Anganwadi workers and helpers since 2015. In the integrated child development scheme, there are 1.18 million AWWs and 1.16 million AWHs under Anganwadi services and they are already overburdened and underpaid and some States and UTs provide additional salary to AWWs and AWHs out of their resources.
