At FATF, Pakistan escapes blacklisting, remains on grey list

Pakistan escaped being blacklisted today at the Financial Action Task Force, which held its plenary session in France.FATF has retained Pakistan in its grey list over the country's record in checking terror financing. FATF has warned Pakistan that it has time till February 2020 to act against terror or face consequences. Blacklisting by the FATF could have resulted in a freeze on capital inflows for Pakistan.
