Bangladesh to procure 30 million doses of 'Covishield', signs MoU with India

The Bangladesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pune-based SII and Bexmico Pharmaceuticals to procure 30 million doses of 'Covishield'. Covishield is being developed by Oxford University which has teamed up with AstraZeneca and the Serum Institute of India for developing the vaccine. Serum Institute will provide 30 million doses of vaccine in the first phase to Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
