Bombay HC confirms reservation to Maratha Community but says 16% unjustified

In its verdict on Thursday, the Bombay High Court has confirmed the reservation given to the Maratha community by the Maharashtra Govt. The judgment has come over a bunch of appeals that have challenged the state govt's decision to grant 16% reservation to the Maratha community in the govt jobs and educational institutions. But the court has said that the 16% share is not justifiable and should be between 12-13%.
