Brazil's Amazon forest has been deforested at a very high pace following the violent fire. According to a report, the deforestation jumped to the highest level for the month of November since record-keeping began in 2015. The world’s largest tropical rainforest's 563 square km of area was wiped out in November. The total deforestation from January to November was 8,934 square km, which is almost the size of Puerto Rico.
