Calculated attempt to dislocate functioning of Government: Delhi High Court on Delhi Riots

The Delhi High Court said that the riots that took place in northeast Delhi in 2020 were a "pre-planned and pre-meditated conspiracy to disturb law and order in the city". The court said this while refusing to grant bail to an accused in a case related to the alleged murder of Delhi Police head constable Ratan Lal. The court said that "it was a calculated attempt to dislocate the functioning of the Government."
