Dalai Lama said that Tibetans have been seeking a mutually acceptable solution to the Tibetan issue with China since 1974. He also said he wasn't seeking Tibet's independence from China, & preferred Tibet remains with China in some kind of a reunion. He also said the Chinese government considers him a splittist, but he isn't one. He wished to harness their old links so that both countries benefit each other mutually.
