The healthcare sector is a major contributor to the greenhouse gas emission that increases the climate crisis, and India is among the top 10 countries that account for 75% of global healthcare climate footprint. The US, China, and the EU are the top 3 emitters followed by Japan, Russia, Brazil, and India. However, India has the lowest health-related emissions per capital of all 43 nations considered in the study.
