Amid the rising worries over the new variants of the novel coronavirus, scientists at the Francis Crick Institute have found structural similarities between coronavirus found in pangolins, and the one found in humans. Scientists have reached the conclusion that the virus found in pangolins can also infect humans. The structures of the spike proteins found on SARS-CoV-2 were compared with the coronavirus found in pangolins.
