Coronavirus lockdown imposed at right time, acted as social vaccine: Health Minister

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has claimed that the decision to impose the nationwide lockdown was taken at the right time and that it has helped in reducing the number of COVID-19 cases. He called the shutdown as a 'potent social vaccine. He also pointed out that the doubling rate of cases has also come down considerably due to the imposition of the lockdown. The doubling rate currently is more than 13 days.
