The death count due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus has gone past 9000 in Spain. 864 deaths were reported in the country in the past 24 hours. More than 8 lakh 20 thousand people have contracted the virus across the world. Spain is two-and-a-half weeks into a national lockdown with stay-at-home rules for all workers except those in health care, food production and distribution and other essential industries.
