Coronavirus: US leading the death toll tally with over 16,000 deaths; New York accounts for half of them

The condition in United States has worsened due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus as at least 16,686 people have died of the pandemic in the country. Nearly half of these deaths have been reported in New York alone. The United States is set to reach its highest daily number of deaths on or around Sunday, according to models by a prominent Institute. As per an estimate, nearly 60,415 people will die in US till August.
