COVID19: Reports of less testing refuted by BMC

The Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday rebuffed the reports that said testing rate of coronavirus was low in Mumbai. BMC in its statement said it was emphasizing on increasing the test capacity. "From February 3 to May 6, Mumbai conducted 1 lakh tests for coronavirus infection, while the milestone of 2 lakh Covid-19 tests was crossed on June 1 and 3 lakh tests on June 24," BMC said.
