Crocodile killed, eaten by villagers in Malkangir, Odisha; investigation underway

In a strange incident, a crocodile was allegedly killed and eaten by some people at Kaladapalli village in Malkangiri district of Odisha on Thursday. The crocodile was spotted by some villagers in Saberi river, after which they captured it. Pradip Debidas Miras, DFO of Malkangiri said ranger staff was sent to the village after photos of the incident went viral but no trace of the crocodile was found. A probe has been started.
