Crowd beats airport staff in train after confusing his luggage tag 'BOM' for bomb

Airport luggage tags are very useful as they prevent your luggage from getting misplaced. However, it can get you beaten on rare occasions too. A 32-year-old man identified as Ganesh Shinde was beaten up in Mumbai as the luggage he was carrying had an airline tag that read 'BOM' for Bombay. The passengers onboard the Kandesh Express believed him to be a terrorist, confused the 'BOM' tag for Bomb and assaulted him.
