Death sentence against captured France-based journalist upheld by Iran

The death sentence against a dissident journalist who was captured in 2019 has been upheld by Iran’s Supreme Court. The journalist, Ruhollah Zam, was captured in 2019 after years in exile in France. Zam was convicted of causing violence during anti-government protests in 2017. As per the government sources, He was captured in a “complex operation using intelligence deception” by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps.
