The government has swung into action mode to become self-reliant in the defence sector by 2030. On the day when the centre dedicated 7 defence companies carved out of the Ordnance Factory Board, the firms received orders worth Rs. 65,000 crore. The companies carved out of OFB include Munitions India Limited, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited, India Optel Limited and others.
