Delhi Police collects over Rs 75 lakh in fine for Odd-Even Scheme violations: Govt

The Rajya Sabha was informed that the Delhi police collected over Rs 75 lakh from commuters for violating the 'Odd-Even' car scheme in the capital city. The compounding amount so collected by Delhi police was deposited in the account of the Transport Department and Delhi government. After the newly amended MV Act 2019, all traffic challans are forwarded to a virtual court or courts of regular metropolitan magistrates.
