DMRC replies to why it can’t provide free water to commuters

High Court was listening to an appeal against a single judge’s order that Delhi Metro commuters have no right to free drinking water. The court asked reason why DMRC can’t provide free water if other Metro cities can do so. DMRC said that they don’t have any source of its own for providing water. They are dependent on Delhi Jal Board and other agencies for that. It said that they are providing water at stations at Rs 2.
