Donated hair auctioned for Rs. 7 crores by Tirupati temple

Tirupati Temple held an e-auction for donated tonsured hair, which were sold for over Rs. 7 crores. The donated hair were divided into three grades. The first-grade hair were 31 inches and above and sold for Rs 3.56 crores, second-grade hair were 16-30 inches and sold for Rs 3.44 crore and third-grade hair were 10-15 inches and sold for Rs 24.11 lakh. 1200 kgs of white hair were also sold at the e-auction.
