Rajasthan HC has asked the lawyers to stop addressing the Judges as 'my lord' or 'your lordship.' The decision was unanimously taken in a full court meeting on 14th July to 'honor the mandate of equality enshrined in the constitution.' They said that the judges need to be addressed in a dignified manner, but they don't need to be addressed as 'lordship.' The Bar Council in 2006 called this 'a relic of the colonial past.'
