Farmers' Union Chief, 300 others booked for damaging property during protests, police resorts to lathi-charge

Bharatiya Kisan Union chief Gurnam Singh Charuni and 300 unidentified people who accompanied him during a protest against some government policies, were booked for damaging public property and violating prohibitory orders. This happened a day after farmers clashed with cops during a protest in Kurukshetra. The police had to resort to lathi-charge to disperse the crowd after the farmers smashed windowpanes of a fire brigade vehicle.
