FIR lodged against Swami Nithyananda over kidnapping and wrongful confinement of children

An FIR has been lodged against Swami Nithyananda for kidnapping and wrongful confinement of children. The police stated that this was mainly to make them collect donations from followers to run his ashram in Ahmedabad. Sadhvi Pranpriyananda and Priyatatva Riddhi Kiran were also arrested on charges of allegedly kidnapping at least four children, keeping them in illegal confinement in a flat and using them as child labourers.
